FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hot Yoga is a sequence of yoga postures performed in a heated environment. The increased temperature in the room allows an increase in stretching and flexibility and helps to prevent injury. Your body will experience a huge detoxification as well. Drinking plenty of fluid before and after class is necessary.

Many people think that they need to be flexible to do yoga, but that’s like saying you need to be strong to lift weights -just as you become stronger by lifting weights, you’ll start to gain flexibility by doing yoga.

This is especially true of hot yoga – because your muscles are warm, then your body will be more open and pliable and you’ll find that you can stretch more deeply than you can at room temperature.

Loose fitting breathable fabric style clothing' Yoga can be practiced barefoot or with socks

Drink approx. 2 litres of water throughout the day you are coming in. Since you will be sweating during class, it is important to drink plenty of water before and after class. Including electrolytes in your hydration routine such as coconut water, watermelon juice or electrolyte supplements will make for a great class

We recommend that you do not eat a full meal at least 2 hours before class. If you are hungry, however, we recommend a light snack such as a banana or energy bar
